Thermal or night vision — which first?
Thermal reads heat, so it finds animals through brush, fog and total darkness that night vision walks right past. Night vision reads light, so it gives you detail and context. If you scan wide country, start with thermal. If you sit a stand, start with night vision.
What does the rangefinder actually change?
It removes the guess. Distance appears in the display while you are still looking through the eyepieces, from 5 to 600 metres and accurate to about a metre inside 300. Every other goggle in this bracket makes you estimate in the dark.
Does night vision work in complete darkness?
Yes. The V6 PRO carries a 3W 850nm infrared illuminator with 7 levels, so it makes its own light out to about 300 metres. Thermal needs no light at all, ever.
Will the infrared spook game?
850nm is near-infrared and invisible to the human eye. Most game animals show no reaction to it. Thermal emits nothing at all.
How long does the battery last?
The V6 PRO runs about 4 hours with the illuminator on, 8 with it off. Its battery is internal, so the Power Pack is a 10,000mAh bank that runs it while it keeps working rather than a spare cell.
Can I mount these on a firearm?
No. We sell handheld and head-mounted observation optics. We do not sell weapon sights or mounts for them, and we cannot advise on adapting ours.
